SANDBLASTING
Sandblasting is a preliminary process that treats the surface to render it more porous. After sandblasting it is possible to apply paints or special anti-corrosive and rust-proofing treatments. Better adherence of paint coatings can only be obtained on surfaces that are free of any oil, grease, residual impurities, scale and older coats of paint; therefore, the level of cleanliness is important, and can be obtained through the use of hot water jet cleaners, de-greasing products and a proper anchoring profile

TYPES OF SANDBLASTING

METALLIC GRANULES
Metallic granules are an abrasive preferably used for sandblasting surfaces in carbon steel. This treatment is ideal for removing older coats of paint with higher hardness levels

GARNET
Garnet, or Almandine Garnet, guarantees excellent sandblasting thanks to a perfect combination of granules, density and hardness. It is one of the best natural abrasives available for sandblasting, has very high yield, low environmental impact and is totally free of any toxic components.

CORUNDUM
Corundum, which can be white, red, or FeSi, is an abrasive for recirculating sandblasting. It is suitable for processing aluminum and stainless steel, is resistant to wear and impact, and it is possible to recirculate it for several cycles.

GLASS MICRO-SPHERES
Glass micro-spheres are resistant to wear and impact. They have a spherical shape and smooth surface, therefore they do not remove material and do not engrave the surface in any way. They do not contain free silica and are inert, not releasing any undesired particles. They are excellent for obtaining, constant, repetitive results.
Quality Sandblasting
SEPARATE WAREHOUSES FOR MATERIALS
To prevent contamination and guarantee impeccable preparations, we have separate dedicated warehouses based on the type of material:
SANDBLASTING MATERIALS IN CARBON STEEL
Processing in manual and automatic booths with correctly mixed and certified spherical and angular metallic granules. The booths are fitted with direct exhaust systems for removing used abrasive material, with air and granules applied at capacities up to 60 tons.

SANDBLASTING NON-FERROUS MATERIALS
Processing in manual sandblasting booths equipped with different lances and nozzles, with capacities up to 18 tons, fitted with Garnet (mineral from the garnet family used to process and treat metals) or Corundum (suitable for recirculation sandblasting, to obtain perfectly clean surfaces ready for subsequent processing, used for treating noble metals).

We have NACE certified staff members.
The NACE International Institute (NII) supports control of corrosion, issuing certifications that promote public safety, protect the environment and reduce economic impacts caused by corrosion.

We have internal certified FROSIO inspectors.
FROSIO, the internationally recognized Norwegian Coating Inspector Institution, certifies obtainment of quality requirements for treatment of surfaces and insulation inspectors.
